Lost and Found
by PageCrave Editorial
Madeline Longfellow grew up on the edge of the Night Wanderer pack, a human-born girl in a world of wolves, with a big brother who guarded her and his best friend Kyle destined to become Alpha. She knew the rules of that world: the moon chooses a wolf's mate, and nothing on earth can unchoose it. Then came the night of Kyle's rise, when he pulled her into the garden, kissed her senseless, and said the words every she-wolf dreams of hearing. Madeline, you're my mate.
Before the party was over, he said the other words. I, Kyle Carter, reject you.
He tells himself it is mercy. She is too young, too human, and an Alpha's enemies are already circling, so he crowns his first night as leader with a lie and parades another girl as his chosen Luna while the real bond burns a hole through both of them. Madeline is nobody's consolation prize. She packs her pride, goes back to school, and dares him to watch.
But the moon is not finished with either of them.
A charming stranger corners her by the waterfall and leaves his mark in her skin before she can scream. Kyle tears the forest apart to bring her home, and the truth he buried comes out: there was never anyone else. Then Madeline wakes to new life growing inside her, and to a neighboring Alpha named Lorin who watches her with hungry eyes, because she wears the face of the mate who fled him. He drugs her. He takes her. The rescue that follows shatters her world twice over, because the woman who risks everything to help Kyle get her back is Dianna, the twin sister Madeline never knew she had, raised apart and married into Lorin's cruelty.
Guilt is a slow poison. Kyle's one night with the girl he pretended to love still stands between them, and Madeline walks away with her newborn twins, determined to raise them beyond any Alpha's shadow. For years she builds a quiet life with Brant, a wolf who lost his first mate and loves her children as his own. It should be enough. It almost is.
Then Lorin takes her again, and this time he tells his whole pack she is Luna Dianna returned at last. A second theft becomes a trial before a council of elders, with Madeline's testimony on one side and her sister's on the other, and an obsessed Alpha learning that some bonds cannot be stolen, only broken from the inside.
Lost and Found is a fated-mates werewolf romance about a heroine who is taken twice and refuses to stay taken. Expect a possessive, groveling Alpha, a love triangle that actually hurts, twin toddlers who steal every scene they are in, a sister finding her way home, and trust rebuilt slowly into a family that fights for each other. The tension runs high and the heat runs hotter, but every intimate scene closes the door and fades to black.
She was rejected, marked, stolen, and left. She was also loved: by a mate who never stopped searching, a sister who came back brave, and two babies who called her home. Everything Madeline ever lost, she found. What the moon took, it gave back twice.
